PDMS design platform basic introduction

PDMS(Plant Design Management System)It is the flagship product of CADCentre, which is widely used in thermal power plants, power plants, oil and gas, offshore oil platforms, petrochemical, nuclear power plants and wastewater treatment plant design. At present, many engineering companies begin to use the PDMS system. PDMS is a three dimensional factory design system. In PDMS, a professional group can be a three-dimensional digital factory with the model established by collaborative design, each designer in the design process can always see other designers are doing what, at the same time, all the components of information can be stored in the parametric component library. PDMS can automatically check collision between components and various professional designs, thus ensuring the accuracy of the design results as a whole.

First, the advantages of PDMS design platform

In the three-dimensional environment interface, the engineering designer can understand the surrounding environment very clearly and vividly. It is like going to the scene in general, which provides an excellent platform for the optimization of the design layout. Another major objective is to eliminate collisions during the design phase. At present, most engineering companies are generally aware of the cost loss caused by collisions during construction and the benefits of improving design quality.
The design stage is the critical stage to control the construction cost of the whole project. The quality of the design and the cost control of the design will directly determine the benefit of the contractor. The application of 3D model technology and engineering design information integration system is an important method to improve the design level. At this stage, in the domestic and foreign projects, the owners consider for their own interests, even in the contract require the contractor to use these technical means, and as one of the basic conditions to participate in the tender. The application of 3D design technology leads to a series of significant changes in design management and construction organization, and is also one of the basic conditions for power design enterprises to improve design quality and optimize system layout.
Specific advantages:

1)Effectively improve the quality of design, the actual simulation of three-dimensional construction site in the computer, in theory, can solve the collision between various types of objects, and greatly reduce rework.

There are obvious disadvantages to the two-dimensional design compared with the three-dimensional design:
1) layout design to imagine the space direction, there is a 3D to 2D conversion process, and the next step in the layout of a graph and the axis of a two-dimensional to three-dimensional transformation process, two or three dimensional switch back and forth and need not intuitive imagination, fallible.
2) all drawings are independent of each other, do not see the overall layout of a room, designed isometric map, it is difficult to check the pipeline between the pipe and the surrounding objects, whether in conflict, the plan is difficult to find the fight between the professional problems.
3) if a comprehensive review of the plan, waste a lot of time and manpower.
4) all graphics are just vectors rather than data that can be flexibly invoked.

(2) three dimensional design is an integrated design platform of 3D model and two-dimensional drawing with data as the core.

The three-dimensional association design technology, efficient generation standard of engineering drawings, drawings of product formation is its strength, can generate a single side of the drawings, pipe assembly, flat section layout plan, layout of equipment, such as various other drawings from 3D model: Volume directory, material report etc.. In accordance with the requirements of engineering, customized to meet the needs of engineering drawing all kinds of rules and tools generated drawings directly or only slight modification can become a product graph, the graph contains automatic dimensioning, materials etc.. Two  PDMS design process

(1) data collection stage of construction drawings;
When the project enters the construction stage of the construction drawing, the 3D model starts to be involved in the concrete design. Before the project development, engineering materials database and specification Library (with GD87, GD2000 standard library, map format library and material library, Chinese power format standard database based) created in the project, and in the process of design and dynamic maintenance, to ensure the design material selection standard and standardization, guarantee control of material fundamentally.
(2) regional collaboration and model checking
PDMS can be used to design the regional collaborative design professional, can be a collision check by the system administrator every day, found the problem after a total submission of various professional detailed investigation, timely communication to solve.
(3) intermediate review and model checking
When the model is complete, the need for an intermediate evaluation and model checking, including: check whether the original data to meet the contract requirements, design input is accurate, the design meets the comprehensive progress, data interface is closed, the collision is eliminated, the design depth is not meet the requirements, layout is reasonable. The consistency check of the model is carried out by the consistency checking tool provided by the system, and each professional designer adjusts the model according to the result of the review.
(4) design final review
The review team reviews the entire project, the entire design process and the design results, and archives the model back up.
(5) material control during construction stage;
The model can share data through the interface and material control software package, and the data of specifications and quantities of the required materials can be directly used for ordering. All of the above drawings shall be guaranteed by quality assurance workflow, and all modifications shall be carried out by model.

Three. Quality assurance requirements for 3D model design

Three dimensional design, as well as traditional design, must follow the quality manual and operation procedure of the enterprise. On the basis of traditional design requirements, the following requirements are added: requirements for safety assurance of design data, and computer backup security measures are formulated. The characteristic of 3D design is the cooperation of many specialties. In the future, it also increases the automatic management of project data status, and puts forward new requirements for the quality control and operation procedures of data extraction process among professionals.

The three-dimensional design of our hospital began in 2014, and the PDMS design platform shows the application performance and design model:

(3) Hualong thermal power relocation and expansion project;
3x130t/h boiler +C15+B15 turbo generator

(4) Weifang environmental protection projects to enhance the transformation of the constant day dragon
2x150t/h fluidized bed boiler +B30 turbo generator

(5) Indonesia PLN NTT pure coagulation power generation project
2x75t/h circulating fluidized bed boiler +2x16.5MW turbo generator

In view of this project, due to the large amount of investment, boiler and turbine pipes are more, it is recommended to adopt three-dimensional design.
